Profile

Born in 1991. Lives and works in Tokyo. Hara presents performances, photographic works, and installations grounded in research into history and memory. Centering her investigation on Hidden Christians who secretly practiced their faith in Japan during the ban on Christianity, she explores forms of social practice through exhibitions at World Cultural Heritage sites and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
