David FENNESSY

Profile

David Fennessy started taking classic guitar lessons at the age of 15. He became interested
in composing while an undergraduate at the Dublin College of Music. In 1998 he moved
to Glasgow to obtain his MMus in composition at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and
Drama, where he has been lecturing composition classes since 2005. From 2006 to 2007,
he was granted a scholarship from Ensemble Modern to study at the renowned Ensemble
Modern Academy in Frankfurt.
