Born in 1978. Graduated from McGill University (Doctorate in Music Performance, 2014) and Koninklijk Conservatorium (Masters in Music Performance, 2003).
Recent 5 main activities are James Wood's Music with MDR Choir (Tongues of Fire and Rogosanti, 2014, Perterskirsche Leipzig), Solo Lecture Recital (The Expanding Solo Multi-Percussionist: Performance Practice in Music and Beyond/2014/Tanna Hall, McGill University), Solo concert (Diego Espinosa/2014/Avaton Festival, Cyprus), Solo concert (Innovations-Gaudeamus Festival/2014/Eastern Bloc, Montreal), (Six Drawings/2014/SAT, Montreal).
He has performed in all five continents collaborating with artists like Pierre Boulez, John Zorn, Steve Reich, John Luther Adams, Kajia Saariaho, Frederic Rzewski, Alvin Currant, Steven Schick, Peter Eötvös, William Winant, Matmos, Mark Applebaum, James Wood, Asko-Schoenberg Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, Ives Ensemble, New Trombone Collective, Leine&Roebena, Dance Works Rotterdam, and ChampdAction. His first solo recording (to be released soon) was filmed at McGill University thanks to the Nikki Yanofsky and Audio-Technica Prize including collaborations with composers Hugo Morales, David Adamcyk, Jasna Velickovic, Felipe Waller, and Juan Sebastian Lach.
Other awards received are: Performance Grand Prize- Tokyo Experimental Festival Vol. 8, 2nd Prize- The International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition 2009, 3rd Prize-International Percussion Competition- Luxembourg 2005, Germany's Deutschen Schallplattenkritik for the CD Insomnio (2012), and Percussive Arts Society Award of Recognition (2003).
