This project seeks to connect Latin America and Japan, and bring together a diverse set of historical, cultural, and philosophical knowledge and expertise through artistic pedagogies to exchange new ideas and experiences with the purpose of creating a space to dialogue on combatting gender violence through art.

Lives and works in Ecuador. Kasumi Iwama is an artist whose conceptual works explore social issues through the eyes of a millennial who grew up between the US and Japan. She is also involved in art activism with a focus on feminist issues.
