OPEN SITE 8 | Open Call Program【Exhibition】
The term “assets” refers to data material that is traded via the Internet. These are raw materials used in digital production, and at the same time, they are also actors, and laborers. At this exhibition, while referencing absurdist literature, the artist captures such assets and how they are transformed in the process of image making and distribution. Just like absurdist literature described transformations of the human body, Sato uses digital assets as a potential form of existence, to establish a contemporary form of “stories of metamorphosis.”
