Drawing for preverbal matters 2020
MORIOKA Miki Bed Work 2017-2018 Plywood
GOMPEI Chihiro How does your body feel? 2020 Video
Words are vessels for conveying the intangible. We cannot open these vessels and pluck out their contents, and the vessels do not necessarily adequately convey that which is pre-verbal. The phenomenon of “indescribability” occurs everywhere and at all times, without speakers even noticing. The two artists decided to collaborate in order to explore forms that the “pre-verbal” takes before it is placed in a semantic vessel.
