"femmimusic" is a concert with music pieces of female composers aged from 18 to 74 years old, Agnes Homann, Katharina Roth, Akiko Yamane, Oxana Omelchuk, Chiyoko Szlavnics, Carola Bauckholt, and Shoko Shida. I would like to introduce the fascinating of female, though it might be slightly different with "Joshi- Ryoku" (girl's power) of usual meaning in Japanese.

Profile

Rie Watanabe
A Japanese percussionist, she began studying percussion at Tokyo University of the Arts and the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe/ Germany. She works mainly in contemporary music scene. In 2014, she started project "travel musica" to introduce a Japanese composer/ performer Yuya Honda (1977-2004). She is living/ working in Cologne/ Germany.
