"Curator Talk" is a mini-lecture series, in which two curators participating in the TOKAS Residency Program will introduce their activities and the art scene in the countries/regions where they are based.
In "Curator Talk Vol. 5," Kari Conte, New York and Turkey-based independent curator and writer, specialized in global contemporary art, focusing on ecological and feminist perspectives, and Los Angeles-based independent curator, Kris Kuramitsu, whose activity focuses on the artist collectives and socially engaged artists in a global framework that considers the social, material, and political contexts, will give mini-lectures.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about the contemporary art scenes in the East and West Coasts of the United States, their past activities as well as their research in Tokyo.
