We hold MEET THE ARTIST Vol.1 "Monica Studer & Christoph van den Berg" at TWS Art Cafe 24/7 coffee & roaster. Monica Studer and Christoph van den Berg who are participating artists of Exchange Residency Program 2013 Basel-Tokyo talk about their art works. Please visit and join MEET THE ARTIST @ cafe! Studer/van den Berg began making collaborative works in the field of computer media art at the beginning of the 1990s. They developped spatial layouts based on programs which they designed themselves, and began to write interactive software accompanying large installational displays of screens, data and sculptures. When the Internet came up they became interested in web art, which they often like to combine with physical extensions in real space. We are intrigued by the various possibilities of linking digital and physical media, and by the way technology can determine the way we perceive imagery in a new way.
