Japan Art Donation (JAD) was founded as a post-earth quake reaction, to support those who have suffered from the disaster through workshops, dance, plays and performances revolving around art. All the donations collected will go towards supporting artistic and cultural activities for the disaster area and the victims.
With the support of numerous artists and galleries, Japan Foundation and Tokyo Wonder Site have co-organized a charity exhibition, during which the exhibited pieces will be on sale and the proceeds will be donated to JAD.
During the exhibition period the participating artists will hold live paintings, workshops and performances, where the artists show their sincere attitudes towards the will to create, even in this current situation.
Currently the search for the lost victims and the distribution of material supplies to those who need them are being carried. On the other side the emotional care for the survived victims are becoming as big of an issue. I strongly believe that the art will play an important role to bring comfort and encourage people to regain vitality in their lives.
We look forward to your visits to the exhibition.
