In alliance with City of Paris to bring up the artist in the field of digital arts, also for the development and promotion of international project by City of Paris, Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama: Creator-in-Residence (TWS Aoyama) called for application publicly for digital art creator delegating to Paris in 2007.
As a result of examination, TWS Aoyama delegated the artist Kyoko Nagashima from September 3rd to November 29th, 2007. TWS Aoyama hosts activity report by Kyoko Nagashima in the presentation style with the photos shot in Paris to those who wish to participate in foreign artist residency or to know what is essential for the artist to build their career worldwide. In addition to this, TWS is going to explain Culturesfrance and Le Cube as alliance institutions, also Cité Ｉnternationale des Arts as a cooperate institution of this cross artist residency.
Kyoko Nagashima makes works in photography and video using lenticular lens. Her work is known for video and still pictures of a woman who repeats typical everyday movements in everyday settings, using lenticular lens (a sheet which changes the image depending on a different angle) which stands between film and photography. This event introduces the artist residency in overseas, setting up the reference booth of the artist residency and the art center in Paris as well as exhibiting Kyoko's previous works. This activity report shall be good reference for those who have interest in foreign artist residency.
