Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) offers artist-in-residence programs for international and local creators working in various fields to stay, engage in creation and conduct research activities. We also provide creators with the opportunities to exchange creative ideas and to present the results of their residency at Open Studio, talks and other events. We are now calling for creators participating in three residency programs: "International Creator Residency Program," "Local Creator Residency Program" and "Research Residency Program".
We are pleased to announce that we resume the "Local Creator Residency Program" in 2019. We are calling for two local creators in Japan who will stay at TOKAS Residency from September to November, 2019 and engage in creative activities based on the theme: "Myth-understanding." We also call for two participating creators in the "International Creator Residency Program" to work on the same theme during the same period from September through November, 2019. The four creators will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and have a dialogue based on the theme, while working independently on their own projects. The result of their residency will be presented at Open Studio and/or Result Presentation.
